Established in 1976

An autonomous examination board with province-wide responsibility

The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Quetta was established under the BISE Ordinance, 1976. The Board has administrative and financial authority to organize, regulate, develop, and oversee intermediate and secondary education and to conduct examinations for affiliated public and private institutions.

Its work connects students, institutions, examination staff, and education authorities through registration, assessment, certification, affiliation, and academic support services.

The Board performs academic, regulatory, examination, and student-service functions across its jurisdiction.

Institution Affiliation

Affiliate and inspect institutions offering SSC and HSSC education and assess the availability of required facilities.

Academic Standards

Prescribe courses of instruction and maintain the required academic and assessment standards.

Examination Delivery

Conduct examinations and appoint examiners, supervisory personnel, and other examination staff.

Student Achievement

Recognize meritorious performance through scholarships, prizes, and other student-support measures.
